Daniel Leon’s Debut “Anchor” Will Hold You Down

Through all times, everyone needs someone in their corner to hold them down and that couldn’t be more true in these insane times of both crisis, and isolation. Emerging singer/songwriter and master drummer and guitarist, Daniel Leon, just released his debut single, “Anchor”, a testimonial ballad to that very thing.

Now calling San Antonio home, Daniel Leon or “The Dude” as he is affectionately called, hails from West Texas. Though his career may be in its infancy, there is an old soul feel to both Daniel and his music that immediately puts you at ease. With elements of Jon B and Ed Sheeran, spiced up with a little Gary Clark Jr., Daniel’s fits in to many molds, and none.

“Marijuana Hippie Soul Music” is how his management team describes it with a laugh, but in all honesty, they are reluctant to call it anything at this point. “We just want him to find his sound organically.” the folks at Davies Entertainment, his label, tell us. “The more Daniel writes, records, produces, and performs, the more he seems to open up and slowly craft his own sound and narrative. We are happy to simply sit back and watch the process.”

Regardless of labels, it is very clear that Daniel is something special. Something you want to hold on to, like your favorite pair of blue jeans. Daniel’s journey is just beginning, but just like those jeans, he is likely to be around for many years to come.
